Keto Bread Mix Baking Instructions

Bake fresh keto bread at home with our handcrafted Keto Bread Mix. This soft, sturdy bread is perfect for toast, sandwiches, breakfast plates, and easy low-carb meals.

You Will Need

  • 1 package Keto Bread Mix

  • 2 cups warm (almost hot) filtered water

  • 8 egg whites, about 1 cup

  • ¼ cup cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil

Baking Instructions

  1. Prepare your loaf pans
    Lightly grease two standard loaf pans or line them with parchment paper.

  2. Mix the wet ingredients
    In a large bowl beat egg white to soft peaks with a hand mixer or stand mixer on high. Then add olive oil and beat for a few seconds before adding warm water and beat for another minute.

  3. Add the Keto Bread Mix
    Add the full package of Keto Bread Mix to the wet ingredients.

  4. Mix the dough
    Beat the mixture for about 2-3 minutes until smooth. The dough will be softer and stickier and wetter than traditional wheat bread dough. This is normal for gluten-free keto bread.

  5. Divide and smooth
    Divide the dough evenly between the two prepared loaf pans. Smooth the tops with a spatula or lightly damp hands.

  6. Let rise
    Place the loaf pans in a warm spot and let the dough rise for 10 minutes, or until slightly puffed. Keto and gluten-free bread may not double in size like traditional bread, and that is expected.

  7. Bake
    Preheat oven to 3580°F. Bake for 15 minutes, then turn the temperature down to 350 and bake for another 40 mins or until the tops are golden and the bread feels firm. (times may vary based on your unique oven)

  8. Cool completely
    Let the loaves cool in the pans for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Cool completely before slicing to help the texture set.

    • If making burger buns divide the dough into sixteen ¼ cup rounds on 2 parchment lined baking trays. Form into burger bun shape with wet hands. Bake at 380 for 10 mins, then reduce heat to 350 and bake another 20 mins switching the pans halfway through.

Storage Instructions

Once baked, keep bread refrigerated for best freshness. For longer storage, slice and freeze. Toast slices directly from frozen as needed.
